Dr. Fakir’s approach in online cases
Online Consultation – some questions
Online Consultation – explained
Queries from patients

If you are new to homeopathy, Dr. Fakir’s approach may seem weird to you but those who have consulted him in the past highly appreciate his painstaking approach.

Since an online (homeopathic) consultation is quite different from a consultation in the clinic, this requires a different approach to getting information about the patient and his/her problems. Dr. Fakir uses a (general) case-submission form (CSF) to take the online case. Patients are asked to provide as much information as they can about their medical problems and personality traits and return the CSF by e-mail. More specific questions are framed and asked after a perusal of the returned (filled-up) CSF.

What does Dr. Fakir do with the information you send to him through the filled-up CSF?

He carefully goes over your filled-up CSF, marking the points that need further clarification.
An e-mail is sent to you, seeking clarifications of the marked points.
After your reply, an initial analysis of the case is made and the most prominent remedies relating to the case are noted down for further analysis and comparison.
After the initial analysis, if felt necessary, you will be asked a few more questions.
If necessary a constitutional screening questionnaire will be e-mailed to you to get a better understanding of your case.
After step No. 4 and/or 5, the case will be summarized and a round-up of the case shared with you to confirm that all your problems have been covered in the round-up .
If you feel, something important has been left out or you had forgotten to mention something in your previous e-mails, you can add the same at this stage.
Throughout the whole process, you are encouraged to add any information that you feel might be of help and had not been shared earlier, for whatever reason.
Even after the above steps, if felt necessary, a time for a chat through Messenger or a telephone call is fixed at a mutually agreed time.
After that a final analysis of the case is carried out and your prescription is e-mailed to you with detailed instructions on dosage, diet, dos and donts and related matters. For more info, please see a specimen case taken online.

Queries from patients

(1) Is an online consultation with a homeopath as effective as an in-clinic consultation?

Barring some exceptions, an online consultation with a homeopath can be as good as an in-clinic consultation. The success of online consultation depends on a number of factors. One is the ability of the online consultation seeker to be able to clearly describe his/her problems. Whether it is online or in-clinic, much depends on the ability of the homeopath to correctly interpret the information conveyed to him.

(2)  I work in Dubai and need assistance from you ,as I am suffering from panic attacks. Here in Dubai doctors advise me medicines like Ciprelex and Lexatonil but I need medicines without any side effects and for a permanent and/or long term solution. Can you dispatch/courier medicines to Dubai?   Kashif, Dubai

Dear Mr. Kashif,

Homeopathy has helped many cases of panic attacks and would help yours as well, in shaa Allah.

If you are from Karachi or a nearby city, I would suggest a personal visit during one of your visits to Pakistan. If you live in a faraway city and cannot make it to the clinic during one of your visits to Pakistan, an online consultation would be more suitable.

For an online consultation, you will have to copy and fill out the case-taking form available here:  Guidelines for submitting a case and e-mail it to me.  I shall study and analyze your case in the light of the information provided by you through the filled-out form and may ask you some more questions to have a clear picture of your case. If needed, a time for a telephone call can be fixed for a deeper understanding of your problem.

After the analysis, I shall, in shaa Allah, prescribe a remedy which you can purchase from Dubai (Homoeopathic medicines are available in Dubai). Usually, I ask the patient to take a medicine for 15 days to a month, depending on the nature of the problem and then send his/her feedback for a follow-up consultation.

For more information on homeopathy, please see my articles under  Patient-guidance section  and Selected writings section, particularly “Towards a better understanding of Homoeopathy” and “Removing some misconceptions

If you feel interested, I can e-mail you details of my online consultation tariff and mode of payment.

(3) Dear Mr. Afzal,

I was sorry to learn about your mother’s health. To me, patient’s health is more important than realizing my fees.

Some cases require personal supervision and are not at all fit for e-consultation. Your mother’s case falls in that category. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to recommend a good homoeopath in Rawalpindi. Please ask your friends and relatives, they may be able to refer you to someone they personally know. Secondly, homoeopathy has its scope and limitations. Not all cases qualify for homoeopathic treatment. A good homoeopath (May Allah help you in finding one!) knows his limits. After taking a detailed history, he will be in a position to tell, if homoeopathy is indicated in your mother’s case.

For more details on finding a good homoeopath, please check: Choosing-a-homoeopath/

Wishing your mother a quick recovery,
Sincerely
Ahmad Fakir Muhammad

(4) What is the best way to contact you about a health problem. M. Hussain, UK

Please e-mail a short description of your problems and if I feel an online consultation will be of help, I shall let you know, guiding you to a webpage which has all the relevant information.

Regards

(5) Hello Dr. Fakir,

I got your contact from my wife Saima Alam who contacted you for swollen feet.

My right eye has a macula hole and eye specialists have suggested gas surgery. Could you please review my attached reports and advise if there is a homoeopathic treatment available. I am based in Qatar so best way to communicate will be through email. I will be happy to make payment by credit card or as you prefer.

Thank you and kind regards.

Faisal Alam

Dear Mr. Faisal,

I have seen the reports. Homeopathy has helped cases of Macular hole. Homeopathy has failed in many cases as well.

If you are willing to postpone surgery for 3 months and give homeopathy a try, I can work with you. It might save you the trauma of surgery. At the end of the treatment, you will have the eye test repeated and ask the specialist to compare the two reports (the latest with that of April 27) and tell if there was improvement? There will be, in shaa Allah.

If you agree, please have a look at Online consultation with Dr. Fakir Homeopath
